Dit netwerk moet zorgen voor veilige en aangename fietsverbindingen tussen alle deelgemeenten. Naast onder andere het behoud, onderhoud en de aanleg van nieuwe trage wegen, wil het stadSZteam ook de zogenaamde missing links oplossen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Missing link 1: MESSELBROEK-TESTELT<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Een brug over de Demer in Messelbroek kan ervoor zorgen dat er een veilige en zeer comfortable fietspad is dat Keiberg &amp; Messelbroek verbindt met Testelt centrum en station. Enkel tussen Zichem en Testelt worden fietsers momenteel nog omgeleid via drukke en risicovolle wegen. Het stadSZteam wil zich inzetten om het fietspad langs de spoorweg door te trekken, zodat er een comfortabele en veilige route ontstaat. Met gemiddeld 6 gewonden per jaar en 3 dodelijke slachtoffers in de afgelopen 10 jaar, is er duidelijk sprake van een structureel veiligheidsprobleem. Het stadSZteam zal zich inzetten om dit probleem in de volgende legislatuur aan te pakken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignwide size-full\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\"
