Zebradpaden voor meer veiligheid<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In de gemeenteraad van juni (net voor het einde van vorig schooljaar) had het stadSZteam voorgesteld om zebrapaden aan te brengen op het kruispunt Tiensestraat-Vossekotstraat<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eind augustus werden de zebrapaden aangebracht aan weerszijden van het kruispunt. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Blij met dit resultaat en wel om drie redenen:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Het kruispunt is een pak veiliger <\/strong>geworden voor de zachte weggebruikers, vooral dankzij de twee zebrapaden. Iedereen kan nu op een veiligere manier het kruispunt oversteken op deze drukke weg, wat zeker van belang is voor kinderen en mindervaliden.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Ons voorstel werd goedgekeurd in de gemeenteraad, maar nu ook uitgevoerd<\/strong>. Met dank aan de bevoegde schepen om de werken nog voor het begin van het nieuwe schooljaar te hebben gerealiseerd.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. En als politieke partij zijn we ook blij dat het bestuur toch eens mee is gegaan in een positief voorstel van de oppositie. Samenwerken <\/strong>prediken doe je niet alleen in verkiezingsprogramma\u2019s, maar ook in de gemeenteraad, los van de dynamiek tussen meerderheid en oppositie. Het stadSZteam zal positieve voorstellen, die tegelijk ook haalbaar en betaalbaar zijn, steeds mee ondersteunen. Het criterium is dat het goed moet zijn voor het algemeen belang van de stad en haar inwoners. Daar staan we voor.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Blijvende aandacht voor meer veiligheid voor de zachte weggebruikers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Het werk is niet af. Nog tientallen gevaarlijke punten<\/a> moeten aangepakt worden. We willen dat werk helpen doen in de komende jaren en dat kan met jullie steun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
